Whole Foods/Cindy's Kitchen Vegan Caesar dressing

Whole Foods has recently been marketing the Health Starts Here campaign that puts emphasis on a plant-based diet. As part of the campaign, they offer Whole Foods-branded items that are often made by other companies. Imagine my delight when I found a vegan Caesar dressing while in Northern California!

I have to say that I was really excited to find this product. I mixed it into my baby romaine salad and within seconds, I was overwhelmed with disappointment.

The dressing did not taste like Caesar dressing, but rather like a runny soy milk-based dressing with way too much lemon. How can this be? Well, I think it is because they are also emphasizing the No Oil aspect of this dressing.  It has no fat and only 20 calories per serving, but also has no taste. It's probably healthier than your typical Caesar dressing, but they made it so by sacrificing taste for nutrition. This product is made by Cindy's Kitchen. Not recommended.
