CoGo Bar

I found the CoGoBars made by Columbia Gorge Organic in a grocery store in Santa Cruz, California. The only flavor that sounded appetizing was the Hemp Apricot so I grabbed that one.

These bars are organic and gluten-free so those are pluses. They use amaranth, quinoa, millet and pears to make a gluten-free bake mix, then they add fresh-dried organic apricots and omega-rich hemp. The result is an okay tasting bar that is a bit dry yet sweet. It has a fruity taste to it from the pear-based bake mix.

All in all though, if you aren't gluten-free, there are many other great-tasting bars out on the market that outshine this one. I don't think I'd buy another one if there are other better-tasting options available.

  4. Wonderful! I'm sure they are great for gluten-free bars. I just don't like the gluten-free grains very much.
