I found the CoGoBars made by Columbia Gorge Organic in a grocery store in Santa Cruz, California. The only flavor that sounded appetizing was the Hemp Apricot so I grabbed that one.
These bars are organic and gluten-free so those are pluses. They use amaranth, quinoa, millet and pears to make a gluten-free bake mix, then they add fresh-dried organic apricots and omega-rich hemp. The result is an okay tasting bar that is a bit dry yet sweet. It has a fruity taste to it from the pear-based bake mix.
All in all though, if you aren't gluten-free, there are many other great-tasting bars out on the market that outshine this one. I don't think I'd buy another one if there are other better-tasting options available.
Well I always believe that being healthy means eating the right foods. Certainly with this, organic food will boost our health in many ways.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with that!

Wonderful! I'm sure they are great for gluten-free bars. I just don't like the gluten-free grains very much.
