Natural Products Expo West 2012 - Day 1

Wow! This is my first time attending the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California and I really had no idea what I was in for. I thought the Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore this past September was big - ha! This show has to be at least five times bigger. This is where everyone from the natural products industry converges in a trade-only show that occurs twice a year -- one in the east and one in the west. The one the west coast, however, is the real deal.

There were at least twenty new items that I thought were great new products, but I'll save the detail for my reviews in the near future. For now, here are my top 5 picks from Day 1 (in no order):

Elegant Vegan pickled veggies - especially the piquant pickled kale

Follow Your Heart Veganaise Chipotle Spread

Hail Merry raw lemon tart

Hodo Soy v-EGG-an Salad (mock egg salad)

Daiya havarti-style jalapeno garlic cheese wedges
